2026/27 Auditions

KC Rep Local General Auditions

AEA EPA dates: May 14 & 15, 9 am – 5 pm (Lunch 12 – 1 pm)
Non-Equity date: May 16, 10 am – 6 pm (Lunch 1 – 2 pm)

Location: KC Rep Rehearsal Hall, 4747 Troost, Room 211, Kansas City, MO 64110

Sign ups: To schedule an audition appointment please email repartisticoffice@umkc.edu. IMPORTANT: Your email must include “General Auditions” in the subject line. Please provide your top 3 time slot preferences to be seen, and we will do our best to accommodate. Starting from 9 am, each time slot is 15 minutes. For example, an actor can request to be seen at 9:15 am, 10:00 am & 10:15 am. You will receive a confirmation email with your time slot and additional details.

All audition appointments are first come – first serve, and during EPA days, Equity members will receive scheduling preference. This should not discourage non-equity actors from asking to be seen or showing up! Walk-ins will be accepted and scheduled as soon as the schedule allows.

Preparation: Please prepare a brief contemporary monologue or two contrasting one-minute monologues. To be considered for a musical, please prepare a contemporary monologue and a brief cut of a contemporary musical theatre, standard, or gospel/blues/funk/soul song. An accompanist will be provided. Material should demonstrate a strong sense of storytelling, emotional connection, and point of view. Please bring a copy of your headshot and resume with contact information clearly printed on the resume.
